Alert Channels

Default channel​

When you verified your email address, Crontify automatically created a My Email alert channel for you. It appears on this page immediately and can be attached to any monitor.

Creating a channel​

  1. Go to Alert Channels in the dashboard
  2. Click New Channel
  3. Enter a Name (e.g. Production Slack, DevOps Email)
  4. Select the Type (Email, Slack, Discord, or Webhook — depending on your plan)
  5. Fill in the configuration fields for that type
  6. For email channels, tick Use my account email to pre-fill the address field
  7. Click Create Channel

You can also create channels inline from the monitor form — click + New channel in the Alert Channels section when creating or editing a monitor. The new channel is created and automatically selected without navigating away.

Testing a channel​

After creating a channel, click Test to send a test alert and verify it arrives. Always do this before attaching the channel to production monitors.

Attaching a channel to a monitor​

A channel does nothing until it is attached to a monitor. To attach:

  1. Go to Monitors and open the monitor you want to configure
  2. Click Edit
  3. In the Alert Channels section, select the channel(s)
  4. Click Save

Deleting a channel​

Click Delete next to a channel. You will be asked to confirm.

Deleting a channel automatically detaches it from all monitors. Those monitors will no longer send alerts through this channel.

If your plan is downgraded and you have channels of a type no longer included, those channels are paused — existing monitors keep their configuration but alerts are suppressed until you upgrade again.
